I ordered 300 Shiitake plugs from Fungi Perfecti last week. They sent me an extra bag of 100, quoting that they over-produced this year and wanted to give them a good home. I was going to offer some of these up anyways, but this just seems all that more meant to be now. So, if anyone wants any,some,all of these, let me know.
This was my first time ordering plugs and trying this. Very fun, great idea. I usually burn fallen oak in the fireplace, but this seems like a better idea. Better? or....tastier?

Yeah, Let me know. I was getting close to using them! I've got the right drill bit too, if needed. I do have some Oak too. May not be the best stock though; it had Lichen on bit of it. I used a heavy wire brush to scrape it off. I'm hoping it's not enough to affect anything. I know you're suppose to leave the bark on. I'd say I took off maybe 1/4 of it. I'll find out in 6 months I guess. ha.
